Following the closure of all national museums, Dumfries and Galloway Council has closed its regional museums and Historic Environment Scotland has closed all manned sites, including the Priory Museum.

So as to keep our staff employed, keep up a service to visitors and a presence in our town, we are going to provide a takeaway only service for food. Our menu and hours may be reduced but we are keen not to close the doors, so please support us and our staff!

We are operating enhanced hygiene routines and practices, distancing between customers, and will have sanitizers for those entering and using the premises. We will not unfortunately be able to refill cups and will provide paper plates and cups.

For our brave NHS staff and carers, we are providing free hot drinks during the crisis!

Whithorn Priory remains open and we will be happy to explain, provide information, and signpost to other sites which are open.
